Project Overview
In 1977, a conjunction of the outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune) made space exploration favorable. NASA, which had prepared for it, then sent the 2 Voyager spacecraft. these spacecraft have made amazing discoveries and photographs. They also carry a symbolic message intended for the possible extraterrestrial: the Golden Record, a cultural portrait of planet Earth, through images, literature and music from all over the world.
As the last activities of the spacecrafts approach, I wanted to revive their adventure in an immersive audiovisual experience called "À Travers Voyager". This project demonstrates the link between astronomy, design and programming.
Medias & Collaboration
This experience is my diploma project. The medias presented here are: the teaser, a video version of the experience, extracts from the 360° and the virtual reality versions as well as some slides of the presentation.
I collaborated with Hugo Kieffer, video game developer and we used resources from NASA's Voyager program to set it up.
It will be presented at NASA, "La Cité des Sciences" and "Le Palais de la Découverte" at Paris, "Le Musée de l'art et de l'espace" at Le Bourget and "La Cité de l'Espace" in Toulouse, to further concretize the project.
